Lose Weight After your Holiday to:

Remember that it will normally take a bit longer to lose weight than it took to gain it.

- Spend time with motivated, active people for support and inspiration
- One less teaspoon of sugar in your coffee can help you lose 3.7 pounds a year.
- Consume fresh, organic food and limit intake of packaged, preserved foods.

Small changes are easy to make permanent, so stay away from radical diets and exercise fads that promise to make you lose 150 pounds in just a short time.
Old eating habits are difficult, but not impossible, to break. Every meal is a chance to start again and every snack choice can be a small victory.
In a few months you'll find yourself happy with the results and with the energy you discover as your weight goes down. Good eating habits will start to automatically replace the bad choices. You can still have an occasional serving of ice cream or dessert, just keep the portions a tiny taste treat.

Water is best to quench your thirst. Skip the sugary drinks, and go easy on the milk and juice.
There are many options for what to drink, but without a doubt, water is the best choice:
It's calorie-free, and it's as easy to find as the nearest tap.
Drinks that are loaded with sugar are the worst choice: They provide lots of calories and virtually no other nutrients. Drinking them routinely can lead to weight gain and increase the risk of type 2 diabetes.
Coffee and tea: These are calorie-free, as long as you don't load up on the sugar and cream.

100% fruit juice: Fruit juice has vitamins, but it is high in calories, so stick to no more than a small glass a day.
Milk: Milk is also high in calories, so there's no need to drink more than a glass or two of low fat or skim milk a day, and less is fine, if you get your calcium from other sources.

Eat More Vegetables

Eating more vegetables is often easier said than done. Try these painless ways to sneak more vegetables into your diet:
- Slice vegetables thin and layer them in sandwiches - Serve vegetables in fancy shapes - Use cookie cutters or learn how to make creations with vegetables.
You have fun decorating cakes and cookies, why not vegetables?
Precut vegetables into serving-size portions and place in the refrigerator for easy access. Make your vegetables as convenient to eat as any other snack food and you will eat more of them.

Enjoy them

How 8 Glasses a Day Keeps Fat Away

The body will not function properly without enough water and can't metabolize stored fat efficiently. Drinking water is essential to weight loss. How much water is enough??

On the average, a person should drink eight 8-ounce glasses every day.
Make it convenient - keep a big, plastic, insulated water bottle full on your desk and reach for it all day.
After each trip to the restroom, guzzle an eight-ounce glass to replenish your system.

Good luck and start today.

Walking daily makes you a much better "fat-burner" than if you walking two too three days a week. And, most people that make the switch will tell you that it's easier to walk every day. Make it a daily habit, just like brushing your teeth. You don't have to think about whether it is a walk day or not and get geared up for it. Just do it every day and your body get used to it. It soon becomes a normal part of your day and you begin look forward to it.

Good walking program is the basis for succesful weight los for many people.
Find ways to make your walking enjoyable, by listening to music, books on tape, or teaching tapes. Or some people prefer to just enjoy nature and life around them and the time to think or let their mind wander. The more you enjoy your walks the more likely you are to walk consistently
